i remember one week christine’s brother tom asked if he could use my login on the laptop and i let him.

and then the next time i used microsoft word, i was looking for a file and i found a bunch of short stories that he wrote, like “a very droopy dog” and something about a hotdog named adolf and i was like what the HECK is this and now i want to find those stories so bad. 

oh my gosh that reminds me of the story he told us at breakfast/lunch/dinner at B-dale about an evil were-pickle and a man named peaches. 

i miss tom, holy crap. 

Whoever ends up with Tom, be it a wife and kids or congregation or whatever, is going to have the most unique life, i swear..

I want everyone to know that they aren’t crazy.

I’m seeing so many posts full of fear, depression and cluelessness that’s just making most of you upset. The one thing all of your personal posts have in common is that you think you’re going crazy or that you’re alone, but you aren’t!

Half of you are 18 and about to leap from HS to college, with no idea how to envision your future. It’s terrifying.

Those of you halfway done with college don’t know what to do with their majors. You don’t like the college you’re in, you’re lonely, you want to go home. Always know that you can always go home. Always know that you can ALWAYS change your major, it’s never too late: no one will roll their eyes or be a bitch about it. Do what you want to do. DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO!

Transfer if you need to. You can talk to me about it. I transferred (a second time) after my Junior year. Obviously, it’s never too late.

If you’re graduating and you have NO idea what to do with your life, it’s okay. If you hate your major, it’s okay. Play with it. Shadow some people who majored in it. 80% of graduates from my college fall in love with a career that has nothing to do with their major. MAJORS AREN’T LIFE PLANS!!! Breathe! :)

And if you’re going through a break up, it’s okay. You’re sad because you lost a best friend of sorts. If they’re being a dick to you, it doesn’t mean they forgot about you. If you had a bond, you can never be separated. You will each carry each other’s memories forever; those can’t die. Just learn to pick yourself up, be okay on your own, and find peace with your life before you look for someone else. It isn’t easy and it isn’t designed to be because we expect things to be eternal, it’s in our nature. When that breaks, we get lost and confused.

Just never be afraid to ask for help. You aren’t crazy, you’re just going through a rough patch, and you do deserve to be happy even if you’ve made bad decisions that resulted in your sadness, or if you made them to cope with your battles.
